The global economic meltdown of last year was not a real danger to the Indian economy. Though some initial tremors were felt but the self sustaining economic growth was not completely dependent on the world economic condition. The second quarter report has just come which shows a strong recovery with the GDP showing a growth of 7.9 per cent and the Finance Minister feels that the worst is behind us as this growth will be sustained. We will see astrologically the pattern of growth for India till the end of this financial year.  

In astrology Jupiter is the planet who deals with prosperity, wealth, income, growth, development, happiness, and also decides the pattern of an individual as well as country due to its movement in the sky. When Jupiter was uncomfortable in 2008-09 then the world saw the worst economic crises after 1930. In most parts of 2009 Jupiter was transiting through its debiliated sign i.e. Capricorn and we have seen that the economy of every country was affected and they came to realize the difficulty and how to overcome the same.  This is what Jupiter was teaching when it was transiting over its debiliated sign.  

Invariably Jupiter remains in a sign for a year and completes a cycle in about 12 years but there are occasions when Jupiter accelerates its pace and crosses the sign in about 5-6 months and in its retrograde motion comes back to the same sign and completes its cycle. This phenomenon has a special significance in the parlance of astrology.  

Jupiter will be transiting into Aquarius on 19^th December 2009 and shall move into next sign Pisces on 3^rd May 2010. Jupiter has accelerated its movement and Jupiter will stay only for four and a half months in this sign and then shall move on to the next sign. Jupiter reflects economy of a country and its movement is directly responsible for the industrial growth and development. Aquarius sign belongs to Saturn and Jupiter is quite comfortable in this sign. Aquarius is also known as the sign of humanity or one that concerns one and all. Jupiter in its movement through Aquarius will make sure that India’s GDP will be on an optimum level and will create a feel good factor and will also give a message to the world that India is a stable and fast growing economy.
